The client management module provides a central repository of information pertaining to ‘clients’ (a client being any person or party relevant to your organisation). Characteristics of the product management system are:
- In Act-isure the term client has a very broad meaning and holds not only information on those insured but also all the entities involved in the complete provision of the insurance services on offer. This is achieved through the notion of roles; for example, different roles may include customers (e.g. beneficiaries, policyholders, etc.), business partners, providers and/or other third parties. Uniquely, clients may have one or more roles, so that someone can be both a third party broker and a policyholder themselves. Roles are user definable.
- Without programming or recourse to Activus, Act-isure clients can dynamically extend the client data model themselves to capture additional data about particular types of client. Act-isure automatically re-configures itself such that this new data is searchable and available for reporting immediately
- As the main entry point to the system, the client module provides fast, flexible searching across client database, allowing the rapid identification of policyholders or members across a multiplicity of schemes and policies
- From the client system, it is an easy navigation to policy, claims and accounting information
- Clients can be linked (so an operator would know if a broker was involved in a policy, for example)
- Sophisticated address management (multiple, different types of addresses – postal, residential, summer/winter etc) together with the management of contact preferences (email, letter, SMS etc) is also provided
